SURFACE MOUNTED DRIVEWAY BLOCKER
AN ALTERNATIVE TO A GATE

There is no need to get out of your car in the wet cold or dark to unlock gates or posts, keep your finger on the button of your key fob for six seconds to operate the drive blocker from the safety and security of your own car. A surface mounted Driveway Blocker is the ideal security product for keeping your vehicle on your drive and others off. (This product acts as a very strong deterrent against car theft).

When not in use the Drive Blocker sits just 65mm of the surface of the drive which is suitable for the majority of production cars, when extended to its full height the Drive Blocker stands at 270mm on a foot print of 870mm sq its pyramid design creates a very strong but discreet barrier to keep your vehicles where they belong.
Being surface mounted the Drive Blocker is very easily installed, simply fit by drilling 4 holes through the holes in the base plate and bolt down with supplied raw plugs and bolts. Thus eliminating the time consuming and costly disruption, often found when having automatic gates fitted.
(Please note we can also supply a resin adhesive where ground anchorage is not suitable)

You may find that the Driveway Blocker would be a suitable alternative where open planning doesn’t allow for gated systems.

The Drive Blocker is a 24v battery operated system and should take approx 4 hours to fully charge, it has a built in safety cut out so you can’t over charge the battery inside. The Drive Blocker should operate for approximately three to four weeks without the need to charge or you can have it hard wired where the power cable exits from beneath the Drive Blocker then runs to the house via the most convenient route and plugged in to the nearest three pin 13amp socket.

(The need for the constant finger on the button is a safety feature to ensure that it is only activated when in view and will stop immediately if released)this is to eliminate any possibility of injury that may occur to anyone getting caught in the product.

There are red and blue flashing LEDs and an audio buzzer that are active when in operation to warn people in close proximity that the driveway blocker is in motion.

Areas for potential finger traps are hi-lighted in a contrasting colour.

If any one is standing on or in close proximity of the Driveway Blocker they should be moved away before activation is carried out.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

ACTION 1 RAISING THE DRIVEWAY BLOCKER

The Driveway Blocker is activated by
pressing the up button (left) on the key fob,
your finger must be kept on the button
till the Drive blocker reaches its full height
as it will stop if the button is released
The Driveway Blocker must
only be activated when in clear view and
with no one in close proximity.
Please note when the up or down buttons
are pressed blue led lights will flash for
1.5seconds before movement occurs
and continues to flash while in motion.
If stopped in between resting positions
lights will flash for a further 5 seconds
before stopping.

ACTION 2 LOWERING THE DRIVEWAY BLOCKER

2, To bring the Driveway Blocker down
simply repeat ACTION 1, but press the
down button (right) only when the Driveway
Blocker is fully in the down position
should you attempt to drive over it, once
you are visually clear of the blocker you
can repeat ACTION 1, and raise the
Driveway Blocker to its full height,
once again making sure no one is in
close proximity.
3, Should you have the need to stop
activation simply remove your finger
and the Driveway Blocker will stop
immediately, when you are happy to
continue simply press and keep
pressing the appropriate button till
the Driveway Blocker comes to its stop
point then remove your finger.
(Please try to avoid continual pressing
of the button in the same direction
when the Driveway Blocker has come
to its stopping position as this can
reduce battery life.)
